Review: Ardell Magnetic Lashes

I grew up as a competition dancer, so I’ve been wearing falsies for as long as I can remember. I love falsies and I’ve never had a single problem putting them on, but when magnetic lashes entered the beauty scene I was pretty excited to try them. I saw countless Facebook ads for them but the $60 price range just seemed so ridiculous.

Ardell is my favorite lash brand because of their quality and price. They recently released their own version of the magnetic lashes and I was so excited. Best part? They’re only $13 so if I hated them I wasn’t losing much. I finally got my hands on them yesterday and I’m not going to lie, I was extremely disappointed. Y’all, I wanted them to be so good…but they just weren’t. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m really good at putting on falsies. I am not even kidding when I say it took me 20 minutes to even kind of get these on correctly.

They look decent right? Right…well kind of…until you blink. Start blinking and the inner corner quickly starts to slip right off your lash line, as you can see in the photo below.

Don’t get me wrong, the quality of these lashes are insane. They’re crazy soft and look so pretty if you can get them on correctly but again, the second you start to blink they slide right out of place. Ardell also makes half lashes that are much lighter and only go on your outer corner. Maybe leaving your inner corner lashes out is the key to getting these magnetic falsies to work. I’ll try them next and see what I think.
