Valentine’s Day Makeup

As much as I wanted to get this post out yesterday, life happened and I did not, but better late than never right?

I had so much fun with this Valentine’s Day makeup look and I’m so excited to share it with you all. Pink’s and red’s are some of my favorite colors to use daily, so it was fun to bring it up to a more glam level.

I started with my basic foundation routine of highlight, contour, and blush with Maskcara’s 3d foundation singles. I’m currently using White Peach highlight for the center of my face, June highlight for all over, and I’ve been completely obsessed with Olive contour these days. For my blush, I went with the bold Ever Red. I love how easy Maskcara’s blushes are to use. I never wore blush before Maskcara, but the creams just make it so simple to get the exact shade and amount of bold I want in my blush. I love the slight tint of red the Ever Red blush gave me. My brows also come from my Maskcara palette. I use the new Know Your Angles’s brush and Shadow cream contour to give me that perfect brow sculpt.

Moving onto my eyes, I used my jaclynhillXmorphe palette for the first time in MONTHS. I have been on such a Maskcara eyeshadow kick recently because of the ease of everything being all in one palette. I’ve completely let the dust settle on all of my Morphe palettes, but decided to pull them out of hiding yesterday and goodness I’m glad I did. I’d forgotten just how buttery and beautiful these shadows are!

I used the third shade in the palette, Silk Cream, in my crease and on my lid just to give me a matte base and transition shade. I always use a basic matte color first because it just makes my bolder shades blend so seamlessly later. Next I used the fluffy blending side of my I Shadow Everything brush to pack the shade Jacz into my outer corner. I’m always sure to keep this super compacted in just that outer corner area so it doesn’t make a crazy mess once I’ve blended. Once I’ve packed the color in, I blow off my brush and begin blend blend blending! I go back and forth between tiny circle motions and windshield wiper motions until it’s blended how I want. Next I picked up the shade Faint, which is the prettiest princess pink, onto the smaller end of my eyeshadow brush and packed it onto the inner half of my lid, just meeting up with Jacz. Once Faint was placed, I went back into my outer corner with Cranapple, again blending together once it was placed. I also used whatever Cranapple was leftover on my brush to lightly smoke out my lower lash line. Lastly, I mixed Faint and Beam for my inner corner highlight giving me that blinding pink tinted glow. Of course, a few coats of my favorite mascara; Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes, and this eye look was complete.

For my illuminator, I used a mix Colourpop’s super shock cheeks in the shade’s Monster and High Five. Not only do I illuminate the tops of my cheekbones, I also put it on my brow bone, a little on the tip of my nose, and my favorite is on my cupids bow. If I’m wearing a low cut shirt or something off the shoulder, I’ll also throw a little on my shoulders and on my collarbones!

Finally onto my lips and this look is complete. Of course I start my using my Juvalips to give me that perfect pout. I then went in with a Kylie Cosmetics lipliner in the shade Moon. For my actual lip color, I’ve been obsessing over Kat Von D’s new formula for her Studded Kiss Cremè lipsticks. I have the shade Lovecraft, the absolute perfect deep berry. This formula applies beautifully and is so creamy yet matte at the same time. I’ve been using it almost daily since I got it. Since it was Valentine’s Day, I decided to be super girly and throw some Buxom plumping lipgloss in the shade Dolly on top.

I had so much fun with this look and it was just a huge bonus that it matched my rose gold hair! I can’t wait to share with you all the fool proof, no mess way I’ve been touching up my pink without technically coloring it again. Stay tuned for that!
