December Ipsy Bag

Y’all know I will always be real with you and let me tell you, December’s Ipsy bag was a huge disappointment. I’ve worked for the past 6 or 7 months reviewing my products and my bags were beginning to feel completely customized and then this month rolls around and I liked one item…ONE! Such a let down! So lets start there, with that one item out of the 5 that I actually liked.

Nourishing Coconut Milk Daily Facial Scrub by Promise Organic

This stuff smells so good and while it feels really sticky upon first application, it gets the job done. I only used it on my dry spots, my chin and nose, but once I washed it off my skin was SO SOFT! Like baby’s skin soft and my dry skin was almost non existent the next morning. I would definitely recommend this facial scrub.

Liquid Lipstick by Ofra Cosmetics in an Ipsy exclusive shade, Unzipped

I love a good liquid lip so besides not completely loving the color, I had high hopes when trying this product. The smell is the first thing I noticed when I opened the tube, it smelled like a cheap lipstick you would get from Dollar Tree. It’s just so bad. If you can get past the smell, the formula is a satin matte and applies very beautifully but it only lasted around 2 hours before having to re apply. If I loved the color, I could probably look past the smell and the short wear time but I just don’t. This product was a major bummer for me.

Dead Sea Wash Face Mask by Global Beauty Care

This face mask was very disappointing to me. I will say this sample was huge though which was one of the only plus’ in this mask, I could get probably 2 or 3 more uses out of this packet. While this mask didn’t burn my face at all which is great but, it took forever to wash off and my face didn’t feel any different afterwards. I love face masks but this is not one I would purchase in the future.

Eyeshadow Crayon by Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics in the shade Fetch

So I’m already not a huge fan of cream eyeshadows and this cream crayon was no exception for me. It was very sticky upon application and wasn’t very pigmented at all. It took a lot of pressure to get any product onto my lid and the sparkle was hardly visible. This is not a product I would recommend at all.

Precision Shader Onyx Brush 239 by Luxie Beauty

Y’all, how many times do you have to tell Ipsy to stop sending you brushes before they listen? I have so many makeup brushes and I only use 6 of them…I don’t need more that are just going to sit in my makeup drawer. While I can’t tell you how this brush applies eyeshadow because I haven’t used it, I will say it is super soft!

This bag was just so disappointing. As always, I’ve reviewed all of this months products on the Ipsy website and I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that next month is a home run bag!

What did you get in your glam bag this month? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I got that mud mask last month and thought I was going to hate it, but I actually ended up liking it. Clay and mud masks are always hard to wash off though, which I agree is a downside. I thought it made my face feel soft though. My December bag hasn’t arrived yet, and it’s a week late. 😦
